Burnhouse Manor - Ayrshir Hotel

Testimonials

I’ve just returned from a three night stay at the Burnhouse Manor Hotel, and I have to say it was brilliant.

My work had originally checked me in for two nights at Burnhouse Manor, I was notified pretty late in the day so on the first night I arrived very late (close to 2am) Obviously my work had to contact the hotel to make sure this was Ok, but it didn’t seem to be a problem. When I arrived, I was immediately checked in and taken to a very spacious room with en-suite. To my surprise the hotel had arranged sandwiches and some drinks, which was very much appreciated as it was the first bite to eat I’d had in almost 8 hours.

On the second day, I had a full cooked breakfast this was served from 7am to 9pm. Naturally I went in at the later time :-), At the yard, I discovered that they

weren’t ready for me so I was delayed a day. The Hotel was ever so helpful in arranging an extra night, and they even arranged a round of Golf for me and lent me some clubs to play!!!

I honestly felt like I was on holiday. This was a welcome break to my normal working routine. In the evening I had a wonderful meal, it was a really tasty Chicken with Haggis dish the best way to discribe it is yum!

The stay pretty much remained like this on my final day as I was leaving very early in the morning the hotel arranged a breakfast tray for me. This was good as I usually go without at other places.

I am returning to the area again in May, So I’ve already put in a request at work to stay at the hotel again.

I arrived after a long flight from Canada on work, and the last thing I was wanting was an hours cab ride to the hotel I was staying in, especially as my work had arranged it, this has been the case several times before. However, the hotel was situated only 15 or 20minutes from the airport, yet seemed a world away! The hotel is in the beautiful countryside and the view matches the hospitality I was shown. I found the staff very accomodating and the food, even though Im not entirely fond of haggis, everything was delicious! Their is a wide range of food available and the portions were more than enough.
All in all, I was very pleased with my stay, and even though I was on a business trip, I came home well rested after enjoying my stay fully.
